Meet our Managing Director Natasha, not only does she manage a full household at home, she does it every day at work too, overseeing the day to day running of Dermalogica - all in a day’s work. She is the inspiration and vision that leads the Dermalogica New Zealand team, and her infectious laugh can often be heard bellowing through the office. Natasha is what we call a fit freak (or crazy as some would put) and is either leaving or arriving to work in her gym gear, we don't know how she fits it all in either!
Can you tell us a little about yourself and your role?
I’m a compulsive dreamer often found with my head in the clouds. This is put to good use in my role strategising about the future and being creative with new ideas and concepts to drive the bus.
Three words that your friends would use to describe you?
Fun, open-minded and kind
How did you start your career?
As a skin therapist, working hands on with Dermalogica in the treatment room. From here I went on to study marketing and was fortunate enough to take part in a Dermalogica management apprenticeship program in the UK for 3 years.

"It makes me feel proud to work with a brand that aligns with my personal values around empowering women."
What do you love most about the Dermalogica brand?
I’m such an evangelist… where do I start?! For a start… the product simply works. The brand itself is full of integrity.
Talk us through a day in your life.
Mornings are typically busy getting the kids to school. My day at the office is varied and no day feels the same. I love getting out to see our customers and getting involved in the creative side of our business. Whether this is brainstorming promotions with our talented marketing team, or refining our systems to improve experiences for our customers. Those are the fun parts of what I do! I try and squeeze in some time most days at the gym and I spend a lot of time in the kitchen preparing healthy meals.
What words of advice would you give to your younger self?
Don’t sweat the small stuff
Who is your business mentor, living or dead, known or not known?
Jane Wurwand, the co-founder of Dermalogica, is an inspirational woman and a phenomenal speaker. The work she has done around encouraging female entrepreneurship is simply incredible. It makes me feel proud to work with a brand that aligns with my personal values around empowering women.
What’s the biggest challenge in your role?
Like most people in my kind of role, I think the biggest challenge centres around constantly looking forward and innovating. Luckily for me, I am surrounded be an exceptional bunch of women that take care of the day-to-day details and allow me time to work ‘on the business’ rather than always working ‘in the business’. If you’re always looking right in front of you it is hard to see what is ahead in the horizon.
